Lyrics sarah mclachlan don't tell me why10/4/2023 ![]() ![]() She was (and is) very insecure and has been treated badly by people. When I first heard this song, I cried for my best friend. (I also think it could become a great movie (=) But I still like Perfect Girl. I absolutely love this song and it became my most favorite Sarah MclachLan song - ever. Like the "Hey little girl would you like some candy/your momma said that it's OK". Some parts of the song I don't get at all though. The man also promises that he would be good to her and that he would show her that she's more than "good enough". The man (not talking about the woman's husband/boyfriend) says to the woman that she deserves more than that, that he has never been good to her, and that she's much more than "good enough". ("I don't have to pretend/she doesn't expect it from me" - means that the man doesn't have to pretend that she wasn't in love with him and that the other woman - the one who's seeing her boyfriend/husband - will soon be in the same situation as the woman) The song sounds as if it's in the point of view of a man who's talking to this woman (reffered to as "you") that was cheated by her boyfriend/husband. let's see if I could put it into easier words. ![]() My interpretion is a lot different from all of your's. It's not the wind that cracked your shoulder Hey, little girl, would you like some candy? ![]() Don't tell me I have never been there for youĭon't tell tell me why nothing is good enough ![]()
